Biography

Neetu Chandra is an Indian theater and film actress born in Patna, Bihar. This tall, and vivacious girl was an avid sportsperson before being swept off her feet by the glamour world. She is a black belt in Taekwondo also represented India in two different international games – once in international Taekwondo Championship at Hong Kong in 1996. Secondly, in world korfball Championship in 1995. Neetu is also a National Games Silver medal winner in Taekwondo.

After completing her basic education, Neetu started struggling for print ads in Delhi. Later, she shifted her base to Mumbai and her hard work paid off. Neetu made her debut with the 2005 film Garam Masala starring Akshay Kumar and John Abraham. She portrayed the role of Sweeti, an air hostess in the film. She also left her mark in the south with the 2006 Telugu film Godavari.

Neetu is a hard working actress, and it is known that she spent an entire week living on the streets of Mumbai to give the reality touch to her role in the 2007 film Traffic Signal. This versatile personality is the life member of International Film and Television Club of Asian Academy of Film & Television. In 2008, a 3D mobile game with Neetu Chandra playing the lead character was launched. The game is titled Neetu – The Alien Killer.
